Review of Dr. Furhman's Disease Proof Your Child Through Nutrition

I began reading Dr. Furhman's book titled, "Disease Proof Your Child Through Nutrition", and it has changed my life forever. If you have children and you care about their health, this book is a must read for you. It will change the way you feed them forever. Dr Furhman has conducted numerous studies over the years on diet and nutrition and the positive effects it has on your health and in this book, he shares his knowledge with you. If your child has asthma, suffers from diabetes, ADD, ADHD or some other condition, the information in this book will aid you in making the right choices to help your child overcome some of his/her symptoms and as he states in some cases that diet and the right choices will allow a person to overcome some conditions completely.

Dr Furhman strongly believes parents are unknowingly poisoning their children on a daily basis with the typical American diet. It may seem harmless to you when you feed your son or daughter a doughnut for breakfast or one of the boxed meals on the shelf or freezer with high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils, but it is detrimental to their health now and in their future.

This book advocates a 90% plant-food based diet. Dr. Furhman references many clinical studies in this book showing the difference in a person's health when they follow a plant-based diet over the typical American diet of McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Burger King and many others. Read labels and become informed. As a parent, I know you want the best for your child. By feeding them a healthy plant-based diet you are arming them against cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and a myriad of other ailments. I know as a parent of two beautiful children, I would do anything to protect them from all illnesses and that is why I make it a priority to feed my children the best and that is a plant-based diet.

This book is available on Amazon.com and I assure you that you will question your food habits and choices when you read this book.
